Pearl of Wisdom

from the Imams (AS), 'Strive earnestly and work hard, and even if you do not manage to perform good deeds, at least do not sin, for verily the building of one who continuously builds without destroying [at the same time] will rise tall, even if it be plain and unadorned, whilst the building of one who builds but also destroys will almost never rise up.'

452 unable to pray at work Salam,

I used to be able to pray at work and now my Zuhr/Asr namaz becomes qaza because I pray at home.

Is this a major sin? There is no facility for me to pray at work.

Please let me know.

512 praying missed salahas When I was aged 7-13, I didn’t pray regularly and sometimes I didn’t pray at all. I really wasn’t a good Muslim during those years, but by Allah’s mercy I am on the Right Path now and for the past 3 years I have not missed a single prayer by purpose and Inshallah I will never miss one again. Is there any way I can make up for those missed prayers? I really want to read Qaza for every single one I missed, but I recently found out that cannot be done? Is that true? Is there any way I can make up for those prayers and prevent receiving punishment for those missed prayers (like when the angles will beat us in the graves for missed prayers)?

546 making up missed prayers Assalam o Alaikum
I want to find out, how can I make up for the prayers I missed when I was younger and did not pray? I want to compensate for them all so that there is no punishment in the grave or on the day of judgement. I always pray now so I have repented. How can I make up for those prayers? Thank you.

547 praying behind unjust leader Salaam
There is only one Muslim teacher at our school and he is the one who leads the Jummah Prayer. We all know he does some things that are haraam, so can we still go to Jummah prayer? I only go because it is the only way we can read Jummah in school or we would miss Zuhr prayer. Or should I not go because he is not the right person to lead it? Thanks.

549 saying salaam during namaz salam

if you are doing your daily prayer or obligatory namaz, and while you are doing it, a person walks into the house and says salam to you. because you are in your prayer, you cannot reply back to that person and you finish your prayer and then say salam. is this correct?
can you add things to your prayer and what things will and will not break your salah?

thanks

559 Salaat Tahajjud Salaam
If I read Salaat Tahajjud, should i not read witr with Isha' prayer, and read the witr instead after Salaat Tahajjud? Does Salaat Tahajjud still count if you pray it 3 hours before Fajr, then go to sleep after praying it, and then wake up at Fajr time? Or does Tahajjud have to be just before Fajr?

653 Zuhr + Asr prayers As-Salaam Alaykom,

I was wondering if it's ok to read the Asr prayer before the designated prayer time for Asr. For example, in my region Asr prayer is @ 3:30pm, but I pray both my Zuhr and Asr prayer before this time, is my prayer still accepted?

628 Prayers I read Friday congregation prayers with our fellow brothers and sisters from the Sunni school of thought and I am Shi'a, and because I was worried about what they might think/do I place my forehead on just the prayer mat and not on a Torbah, earth, stone, leaf or hand. Is my prayer still accepted for placing my forehead on just the prayer mat?

1152 Making up for mistakes in sala Dear Sir/Ma'am,
I learnt my salat when I was a child, although I was not much of a practicing muslim. now however I am more invested in my religion and have all of a sudden come to realize that all this time (probably a few years) that whenever I prayed, I said the 'attahiyat' incorrectly (missed out a complete sentence). I understand that this is a matter of great embarrassment and shame. I would like to know that whether or not I have to make up for all these years worth of prayers that I said incorrectly?
