Pearl of Wisdom

He who appoints himself a leader of people must begin by teaching himself before teaching others. And his discipline of them must be through his own example rather than through his words. The one who teaches and disciplines himself is more worthy of esteem than the one who teaches and disciplines peopIe.'

Question : #1105 Category: Holy Qur'an
Subject: 2:62
Question: Salamunalyakum,

I would like to understand the following verse as translated in almizan.org:

2:62 Surely those who believe, and those who are Jews, and the Christians, and the Sabaeans, whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day and does good, they shall have their reward from their Lord, and there is no fear for them, nor shall they grieve.

Here it appears to mean that even present day christians or jews 'whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day and does good, they shall have their reward from their Lord, and there is no fear for them, nor shall they grieve'.
It is obligatory to believe in Prophet Muhammad and the twelve imams to seek salvation on the Day of Judgement. The verse says anyone who believes in Allah, the Day of Judgement and does good shall have no fear. Can you please clarify on this verse?

Regards
