'Do not be amazed by [the good actions of] anyone until you see his end, for verily one may perform good actions for a period of his life that if he were to die during that time he would enter Paradise, but he subsequently changes and then commits evil actions.'

Rich and Poor

The word “rich” (ghani) in the Quran is mentioned 26 times. The opposite, “poor” (fakr) is mentioned 13 times, half as much. It is another miracle of the Quran that these opposite words which have a meaning relationship also represent a numerical miracle. The verse below is an example:

38- You are invited to spend in the cause of God, but some of you turn stingy. The stingy are stingy towards their own souls. God is rich while you are poor.
