Pearl of Wisdom
was asked about the extent of doubt that a particular man was having as to how many units of prayer he had performed, such that he neither knew how many he had performed, nor how many he had left. He replied, 'He should repeat it'. So we asked him, 'But this state is so excessive in him that every time he repeats [his prayer] he doubts again.' He said, 'Then he should continue regardless of his doubt.' Then he said, 'Do not accustom the malignant [part] of yourselves to the breaking of the prayer lest you arouse further greed in it, for verily Satan is malignant and gets habituated to whatever he is made accustomed to. So you should ignore that insinuation [and continue], and you should not break your prayers often, and if you do this [i.e. ignore the doubt] often enough, the doubt will not resurface.' Zurara narrated: Then he (AS) said, 'Verily the malignant wants to be obeyed, so when it is disobeyed, it does not return to you.'

The Color White |
|
White is the source of all colors. In the color spectrum, we can witness that from white derive seven other colors. And when those seven colors come together, we have the white color. Thus, white has a special place among the other colors. In the Quran “to be white” is expressed by the word “ebyad”. The mathematical value of this word is 813. (In Arabic, the same characters are used both for numbers and letters. That is why each letter, and consequently each word, has a numerical value). If we add up the numbers of the verses where the color white is mentioned, we end up with the mathematical value of the word, viz 813. Mathematical value of the letters derived form the word “ebyad” | Alif | 1 | Ba | 2 | Ya | 10 | Dwad | 800 | Total | 813 | | The total of the numbers of the verses in which the word “white” is used | Surah Number | Verse Number | 2 | 187 | 3 | 106 | 3 | 107 | 7 | 108 | 12 | 84 | 20 | 22 | 26 | 33 | 27 | 12 | 28 | 32 | 35 | 27 | 37 | 46 | 37 | 49 | Total | 813 | |
